Isaiah Cox

Isaiah Cox

ISAIAH COX is the CEO of WheelTug, where he has worked for the past two decades. As CEO, he leads the impressive team of employees and partners who will be bringing electric taxiing to the commercial aviation market next year. WheelTug has already signed letters of intent with more than 25 airlines representing over 2,000 aircraft.

Isaiah graduated from Princeton, and pursued post-graduate work at King's College London before moving to work on the WheelTug system. The holder of more than 120 issued US patents, he has been interviewed for The Economist and Forbes.

Jan Vána

Jan Vána

JAN VÁNA manages WheelTug business development with airlines, airports, navigation services, ground handling providers, and maintenance and repair organizations (MROs). A frequent presenter at industry conferences, he also manages the WheelTug agents who are tasked with signing airlines worldwide.

Prior to joining WheelTug, Jan served as a Vice Minister of Defense of the Czech Republic, and on the Board of Directors of Czech Airlines. As a pilot with the Czech Air Force he was awarded the “Master Wings” commendation, and he is a graduate (Ing.) of the Czechoslovak Air Force Academy.

JACK FRANCE is responsible for the WheelTug Works facility in Baltimore USA. The 37,000-square-foot location is where final assembly and system kitting will take place.

Prior to joining WheelTug, Jack spent two decades at Honda, overseeing quality for Honda North America (automotive), then for the HondaJet and finally three years with the Honda-GE engine partnership. He is highly experienced in manufacturing management in the aerospace industry, having managed regulatory requirements in 10 markets worldwide. Jack’s MBA is from the University of South Carolina; he has a Six Sigma Black Belt.

Alex Froes

Alex Froes

ALEX FROES leads WheelTug’s engineering efforts – he is responsible for coordinating the certification and design activities of the test, systems, and mechanical engineering teams.

Most recently he performed this same role at Mitsubishi Aircraft for that company’s Regional Jet program. Before this, he spent almost 20 years at Embraer working on both the ERJ 170/175 and 190/195 Regional Jet programs, as well as various business jets. Alex holds multiple Design Organization Approval (DOA) certifications, and earned his engineering degrees in his native Brazil.

JOSEPH COX initially served as our Program Manager in 2012 with a focus toward FAA certification. With the addition of Scott Moses (see below), Joseph moved to leading the implementation of the company’s Quality (engineering audit) and Safety processes.

Joseph is an expert on business process and strategic planning. He has worked with organizations including Mercedes Benz, Nike, Intel, and IBM. The developer of the airline-focused benefit-sharing lease model, Joseph has a Masters in Financial Analysis from Portland State University and a BA from the University of Pennsylvania.

Scott Moses

Scott Moses

SCOTT MOSES, WheelTug's Program Manager, has 25+ years of electronics design and project leadership experience in the aerospace and optics community, at employers including Lockheed Martin, Curtiss-Wright, L-3, and IMAX. He has served as lead engineer or program manager on multiple civilian and military projects.

His system engineering experience includes design, regulatory compliance, specifications management, environmental qualification, data management, software / hardware safety, and maintainability. Scott holds an Electronics Engineering Technology degree from Niagara College.

Tomas Vána

Tomas Vána

TOMAS VÁNA leads the WheelTug Vision certification program being implemented by partners across Europe. In addition, he is the WheelTug liaison for the Landing Gear program with the company’s test-house partners at iABG (Germany). Tomas is also WheelTug’s Sustainability Manager, responsible for modeling and tracking WheelTug's environmental benefits.

Previously Tomas was a Program Manager at Amazon responsible for expanding EU fulfillment centers. Before that, he served as a Risk Assurance Consultant at PricewaterhouseCoopers. He was an Advisor to the Minister of Environment of the Czech Republic for three years. Tomas earned PhDr and MA degrees from Charles University in Prague as well as an MA from University College London.
